Gamefield

The robot is supposed tackle four challenges in the gamefield.

  1. Line following on circuit
  2. Stop and go
  3. Obstacle avoidance
  4. Maze

Line following circuit

Inspired by Suzuka circuit

Stop and go

Freeze for 3 seconds and resume

Obstacle avoidance

Yellow line must be passed over

Maze

Exit as fast as possible

Scoring rules

The scores are calculated by the following rules.

  1. Each team has 3 minutes
  2. The team's score is updated as the robot passes the checkpoints
  3. Retries are allowed from the last checkpoint within the time limit

Mini competition

The mini competition was held on 19th October 2022.

Prof. Kiyasu and Prof. Sakaguchi from Nagasaki University joined the mini competition as the judges.

Final Competition

The final competition was held on 16th November 2022.

The competition was officially opened by the speech from the Vice Chancellor represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (RPE).

The judges present were Dr. Kaburu (SCIT), Dr. Njiri (Mechatronics), Dr. Nderu (SCIT), Mr. Oloo (EEE), and Mr. Kimotho (SCIT).
